The IQT Vancouver conference will feature Dr. Eric T. Holland, Director of Strategic Initiatives in Keysight Technologies’ Quantum Engineering Solutions group. With his extensive experience in superconducting quantum processors and strategic roles in national laboratories, Dr. Holland brings invaluable insights into developing and implementing quantum technologies.

At Keysight Technologies, Dr. Holland’s expertise lies in designing, developing, and deploying Josephson junction-based superconducting quantum processors. This area of quantum technology is crucial for advancing quantum computing, given the pivotal role superconducting qubits play in current quantum processor designs.

Dr. Holland has significantly contributed to the quantum technology sector in his previous roles. He served as Fermilab’s Deputy Director of Quantum Technology, where he was involved in advancing the laboratory’s quantum technology initiatives. His tenure at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as Chief Quantum Hardware & Application Architect further underscores his quantum hardware development and application expertise.

Additionally, Dr. Holland plays an active role in shaping the future of quantum technology through his involvement with key quantum initiatives. He serves on the US Quantum Economic Development Consortia (Q-EDC) Executive Steering Committee and is an industry executive on the Princeton Quantum Initiative. These positions highlight his influence in the strategic direction of quantum technology development and policy in the United States.

Dr. Holland holds a Ph.D. from Yale University and a B.A. in Physics from Saint Anselm College, providing him with a solid academic foundation in physics and quantum technology.
