Entrust Introduces First Commercially Available “Post Quantum Ready” PKI platform

Entrust, a prominent company in the field of trusted payments and data security, has announced the launch of its Post-Quantum Ready PKI-as-a-Service (PKIaaS PQ) platform, marking it as the first commercially available service of its kind. This advanced platform integrates composite and pure quantum-safe certificate authority hierarchies into its cloud-based PKI service. This enables customers to test and implement quantum-safe security measures in preparation for the impending quantum computing era. Greg Wetmore, Vice President of Software Development at Entrust, emphasized the complexity of transitioning to quantum-safe algorithms and urged organizations to prepare now. The Entrust PKIaaS, backed by over 25 years of expertise, simplifies enterprise PKI implementation and is scalable, integrating seamlessly into existing workflows. The new service aligns with global cybersecurity recommendations and supports a hybrid approach to quantum-safe data protection, enhancing an organization’s Zero Trust implementation and security against future quantum threats.
