The IQT Vancouver/Pacific Rim conference, a premier gathering for quantum technology enthusiasts and professionals, is set to feature Hiroaki Tezuka, Hiroaki Tezuka, the Chair of the Global Consortium Alliances Working Group in QSTAR, which is the Japanese Quantum Alliance which was established in September 2021. Since the beginning of this alliance, he has been working to establish global relationships with other global consortiums. He is also the QKD business development manager at Toshiba and leads many QKD testbed activities worldwide.

Tezuka’s tenure at Toshiba has been marked by significant transitions, including his move to Toshiba’s office in Great Britain in 2005 and subsequently to Germany from 2007 to 2011, where he further honed his expertise in international business development. Upon his return to Japan in 2011, Tezuka was appointed Senior Managing Director, taking charge of Toshiba’s consumer electronics business transactions in Russia, showcasing his ability to navigate and lead complex international operations.

In addition to his role at Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation, Tezuka leverages his leadership abilities as Chair of the Global Consortium Alliances Working Group at Q-STAR. At Q-STAR, Tezuka collaborates with individuals from various backgrounds and levels of expertise to determine appropriate applications and networks of quantum technology.

At the IQT Vancouver/Pacific Rim conference, Tezuka is expected to share his profound insights into Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and its pivotal role in enhancing cybersecurity in the digital age.
