Australia’s vision for quantum

(Industry.gov.au) The Australian Government is progressing with key measures to grow Australia’s quantum industry and support the adoption and commercialisation of innovative quantum technologies.  Australia also has a campaign underway to acquaint its citizens with the government’s quantum technology initiatives and the importance of the National Quantum Strategy to their future. IQT-News shares the outlines of Australia’s communications about its National Quantum Strategy.

The Australian Government’s Department of Industry, Energy, Science, & Resources has prepared both a document and YouTube video to inform citizens:
–What quantum can do
–How quantum technology works
–Why Australia is investing in Quantum

The National Quantum Strategy will outline Australia’s vision for the quantum industry. Australia’s Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley will guide the strategy with other experts.
This Department of Industry, Energy, Science, & Resources department is developing the National Quantum Strategy. It will set out the process for helping Australian quantum meet its economic potential. Australia’s Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley will guide the strategy with a committee of other quantum experts and stakeholders.
Australia is also developing a Quantum Commercialisation Hub. It will support quantum research commercialisation and  quantum business growth in Australia. The hub will form international partnerships with like-minded countries to:

  • share quantum skills, ideas and resources
  • help Australian quantum businesses access new markets.
