IQT’s Founder & President Presented ‘The Future of the Quantum Internet’ at ITU Event in Shanghai

(InsideQuantumTechnology) Lawrence Gasman, the Founder and President of Inside Quantum Technology, recently presented “The Future of the Quantum Internet” at an international conference in Shanghi, China that was organized by the International Telecommunications Union, a division of the UN.
Gasman provided a commercialization perspective and addressed technical differences between quantum networks and classical networks; QKD networks; other applications for quantum networks beyond QKD; and an quantum Internet Roadmap. He also addressed what is needed to make the Quantum Internet a reality. In his presentation, he presented a quantum internet roadmap with options, explained that QDK currently dominates, and talked about “life beyond QKD.”
Mr. Gasman will be organizing and chairing the upcoming InsideQuantumTechnologyEurope, October 29-30, 2019 at the Hague. He has authored industry analysis reports on quantum key distribution, quantum computing, quantum networks, and quantum sensors and numerous studies on high-speed interfaces for high-performance computers. He also served on a panel at the Q2B conference in 2017; the first ever business-oriented quantum computing conference. Lawrence has been tracking commercialization of new technologies for 35 years and has written four books in this area. His consulting work has included both major multinationals and high-tech start-ups as clients and he has also carried out due diligence work for investment banks, venture capitalists and leading management consulting firms.
