(BloombergPodcast) Bloomberg news recently interviewed Lawrence Gasman, Founder & President of Inside Quantum Technology. Gasman first discussed quantum technology today and explained it derived from quantum information theory. He explained the three sectors: 1) quantum computers; 2) encryption; and 3) quantum sensors.
Gasman explained that the emerging quantum technologies are now ” . producing new markets and just beginning to get going.” He projected a “sea change” with future winners evolving in the upcoming cycles. Gasman commented on the “. . stunning number of startups already funded by VCs, that the field is just starting to ‘get going’.”
The interview was conducted with a look forward to next week’s “The Future of Quantum Computing, Quantum Cryptography, and Quantum Sensors” event to be held in Boston March 19-21 at the Hynes Convention Center. The speaker lineup includes IBM, Microsoft, and D-Wave. The full program lists 31 current speakers.  Focus is on commercialization of these new technologies.
