(NevadaAppeal) The University of Nevada, Reno has been awarded $2.49 million by the U.S. Department of Energy to conduct research into quantum computing.
“As a former computer programmer, I know that developing advanced technology is the key to solving the world’s greatest problems,” said U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev.
The money was awarded through DoE’s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) that was created to improve the geographic distribution of federal research funding and strengthen research capabilities at underserved areas of the country.
