Rainer Iraschko; Principal Technology Architect, TELUS; will speak on  “Application of Quantum Security for Telecommunications” at IQT Canada 2023.
Rainer Iraschko has worked in the telecommunications sector for over 30 years. He holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto and a doctorate from the University of Alberta. Over his career he has accumulated a broad base of expertise and experience, including enhancing the resiliency of a multinational telecom service provider’s transport network to growing a Silicon Valley DWDM start-up into a successful public company. In 2014 Rainer Iraschko joined TELUS after overseeing the R&D of TRLabs, a research consortium funded in part by TELUS. As Principal Technology Architect (PTA) at TELUS he is responsible for identifying emerging technologies and ICT trends, and fostering the creation of innovative technologies of interest and value to TELUS including Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and most recently Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

IQT Canada 2023 is the tenth global conference and exhibition in the highly successful Inside Quantum Technology series.

This event is Canada’s Quantum Computing Event, focusing on Ecosystems for Quantum Readiness. A number of vertical topics encompassing more than 30 panels and talks from over 80 speakers will provide attendees with a deep understanding on state-of-the-art developments of the future quantum ecosystems as well as the current impact of quantum computing technologies.
The conference brings together corporate management, entrepreneurs, end users, technology providers, infrastructure partners, researchers and investors who are working on the current future developments of the quantum ecosystem. IQT Canada is organized by 3DR Holdings, IQT Research, INTRIQ, and the Governments of both Canada and Quebec. The June conference will be an “in-person” event to ensure maximum networking and discussion and will take place at Centre Mont-Royal in Montréal (Québec), Canada.
