Nicola Poccia, Group Leader, IFW Leibniz Institut Dresden, will speak on “Quantum Technologies in 5G-6G Architecture” at IQT The Hague March 13-15.
Nicola Poccia is a Group Leader and founder of the “Superpuddles Lab” at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW-Dresden). He received his "Laurea" in physics at the Sapienza University of Rome and received his Ph.D. in Physics from Sapienza University. He was Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Twente and at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble, then joined as postdoctoral fellow the Department of Physics at Harvard University.
Currently his research focus on the isolation of atomically thin high temperature superconductors, assemble these materials into novel twisted systems and quantitatively interrogate them by means of electronic quantum transport and advanced microscopies. He has published more than 80 papers in peer-review journals including Nature, Science, Nature Materials and Advanced Materials. He is also editor of a number of prestigious scientific journals, founder/promoter of the Network of Italian Scientists in Germany (SIGN) and of exchange PhD programs in quantum technologies between Italy
and Germany. His group recently received funding for his research from the DFG and Terra Quantum AG.
