MITxPRO Offering Two-Course Online Program Starting March 23 to Help Students Understand How Quantum Computing Will Transform Business

(Xpro-MIT.edu) MITxPRO is offering a two-course online program that is designed to enable students to understand of quantum computing and how it will transform business. The courses start March 23.
They stand to change companies, entire industries, and the world by solving problems that seem impossible today.
The MIT xPRO model brings together innovative pedagogy paired with world-class faculty. Students will practice processes and methods through simulations, assessments, case studies and tools, including the IBM Q experience. Students have the opportunity to connect with an international community of professionals while working on projects based in real-world examples. Students will earn a Professional Certificate and 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from MIT.
These are a few of the learning outcomes:
Describe the differences between quantum and classical computation.
Discern potential performance gains of quantum vs. classical algorithms.
Assess the business applications of quantum computation.

Any interested participant with basic knowledge of vector and matrix multiplication as linear algebra is at the core of quantum computing algorithms.  An introductory webinar about the course is being offered March 9.
