Madison Rilling, Executive Director, Optonique; will speak on “Talent Development” at IQT Canada 2023.
Dr. Madison Rilling is Executive Director of Optonique, Québec’s photonics industry cluster, a non-profit aimed at mobilizing, promoting and developing Québec’s rich photonics ecosystem. In this role, she acts as an intermediate between industry, government, academia, and support agencies to catalyze the growth of start-ups, SMEs and large photonic businesses in Québec. Madison has been actively involved in science advice and policy development at both the provincial and federal levels. Through different advisory roles, she worked on improving and diversifying research funding and support given to the next generation of scientists and researchers in STEM fields. Internationally, she contributes to science diplomacy and public policy forums in the sectors of photonics and quantum. Throughout her studies and career, she has been active in making these fields more open, inclusive, and known to the public. Madison holds advanced degrees in medical physics and optical design and is Optica’s 2021 Chang Pivoting Fellow.

IQT Canada 2023 is the tenth global conference and exhibition in the highly successful Inside Quantum Technology series.

This event is Canada’s Quantum Computing Event, focusing on Ecosystems for Quantum Readiness. A number of vertical topics encompassing more than 30 panels and talks from over 80 speakers will provide attendees with a deep understanding on state-of-the-art developments of the future quantum ecosystems as well as the current impact of quantum computing technologies.
The conference brings together corporate management, entrepreneurs, end users, technology providers, infrastructure partners, researchers and investors who are working on the current future developments of the quantum ecosystem. IQT Canada is organized by 3DR Holdings, IQT Research, INTRIQ, and the Governments of both Canada and Quebec. The June conference will be an “in-person” event to ensure maximum networking and discussion and will take place at Centre Mont-Royal in Montréal (Québec), Canada.

Sandra K. Helsel, Ph.D. has been researching and reporting on frontier technologies since 1990.  She has her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
