Hans Stærkind; PhD Fellow, Niels Bohr Institute (UCPH), and Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (Hvidovre Hospital) will speak at IQT Nordics 2023.
Hans Starkind has a MSc from the Niels Bohr Institute, specialized in quantum sensing and atomic physics. During my PhD, he developed and calibrated a new kind of optical magnetometer for high magnetic fields. He designed it specifically for use in MRI scanners, and the goal is to demonstrate that it can be used to improve the quality of MRI images. Hans has recently received an Innoexplorer grant to continue this research after my PhD with an aim to commercialize the technology.
Hans Stærkind is with the Niels Bohr Institute (UCPH), and Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (Hvidovre Hospital).

The conference will provide the participants with detailed insights into the rapidly expanding Nordic quantum ecosystem as well as an update on the state-of-the-art of quantum technologies in relation to use cases and applications. This conference will be an annual event with venues rotating between the Nordic countries. The first event, IQT Nordics 2023, will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from June 6th to 8th. In 2024, the conference will be held in Helsinki, Finland.
