(IOP.Science) The aim of this unique collection of Perspectives is to provide insight into what is now a global pursuit for quantum technology research breakthroughs and dominance. This collection brings together insights from leaders in five countries across the globe, providing an unprecedented view of the quantum technology landscape around the world. The first five contributions cover the established initiatives in Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the USA. Further perspectives from the UK and China will appear later in 2019.
