Charlotte Rugers, Senior Innovation Manager Quantum Technology, Defence Materiel Organization, has agreed to speak on “Defence Applications of Quantum Internet” at IQT The Hague.

(IQT-TheHague) Charlotte Rugers, Senior Innovation Manager Quantum Technology, Defence Materiel Organization, has agreed to speak on Panel 1: “Defence Applications of Quantum Internet” at IQT The Hague.
Charlotte Rugers studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Technology in Eindhoven. During her Master of Science she studied different aspects of quantum key distribution. She started her professional career at Siemens, where she and a team of network specialists tested idQuantique’s commercial Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) system between the two Siemens datacenters. In 2018 she received her second MSc degree for which her thesis was again quantum related: “Risk management and the quantum threat”.
After her work as an IT consultant at Siemens Charlotte fulfilled different rolls within the Dutch Ministry of Defence and is now working at the IT innovation department (KIXS), within the Defence Materiel Organization. As a senior innovation manager she looks at the possibilities and threats of quantum technology including quantum computing, quantum sensing and quantum communications.

Inside Quantum Technology The Hague Conference and Exhibition will be held as a hybrid event February 21-23, 2022. This is the foremost gathering of business leaders, product developers, marketing strategists and investors anywhere in the world focused on quantum internet. Over 1,000 people will be attending this event (both in-person and online) from all over the world and from every area of quantum computing.

This conference includes panels and keynotes on topics related to the future of the Quantum Internet.
