(MilitaryAerospace) Air Force experts are looking to quantum computing for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, and cyber. The Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., has developed quantum clocks and steered work in quantum communications and networking over the last decade.
The lab has focused on four major technical areas: quantum timing, quantum sensing, quantum communications and networking, and quantum computing. Lab officials need access to produce and test software and algorithms, and get a firm grasp on the types of problems that could be solvable via quantum computers.
