And what a year it was!
The reviews of 2025 came as early as November last year, so I decided I would beat them all to the punch in 2026. And let me tell you, what a year it was! The IQT conferences were absolutely mind-blowing. IQT’s The Quantum Dragon Podcast captured hearts, minds, and imaginations. IQT News Exclusives enlightened the masses. The Quantum Dragon (feat. IQT News) made milk come out of at least one nose. And The Premium Quantum Dragon provided fiery insights across the industry.

All of the 2025 near-the-end-of-the-year recaps I saw covered the advancements of the field. Kudos to Pirate Captain Sergio Gago, The Quantum Dragon’s uncle, for acknowledging some missteps along the way. Let the record show that a couple of those names are never mentioned in this newsletter, and these are great examples why.

Quantum Noise Detector
Alan Ho and Prof. Michael Biercuk inspired the Resuscitated Quantum Bullshit Detector, but the original(?) has resurfaced on Bluesky. It’s back to reposting a simple “bullshit” or “not bullshit,” so The Quantum Dragon will continue to monitor for challenges, controversies, and debates under this new name from Dr. Bob Sutor.
- I’m not going to provide a link, because the center of the controversy appears to be an account that I don’t want to draw attention to, but if you want to weigh in on which direction pure-play quantum stocks might go, you can always find that conversation on Twitter. Last weekend’s flurry began with a “prediction” based on incomplete knowledge of NVIDIA’s activities in this space.
